Browsing CityFunIndex needs no sign-up and collects nothing about you. An optional account, only for paid plans, is handled by the CondorBox umbrella. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what that means for your data.

The short version

Browsing CityFunIndex asks nothing of you. There is no sign-up to read the index, no tracking cookie, and no form that sends your activity back to us — you can explore every city, score and leaderboard without identifying yourself in any way.

The one exception is entirely optional: if you create an account to manage a paid plan or an API key, you sign in with Google through the CondorBox umbrella. That is the only part of the site that knows who you are, and only because you asked it to. The next section explains exactly what it sees.

Accounts and billing (optional)

CityFunIndex stores no passwords of its own. Accounts are handled by the CondorBox umbrella — the shared platform that runs Chicha Technology LLC’s products — using Google sign-in. When you sign in, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo so the dashboard can greet you and attach your plan; we use them for nothing else and never see your Google password.

Paid plans are billed through CondorBox’s payment processor, Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by CityFunIndex. We keep only what is needed to run your subscription — which plan you hold and your API usage counts — associated with your account.

You can sign out at any time, and manage or close your account at CondorBox.

What stays in your browser

City search and the personalized weighting are computed entirely on your device. The factor weights you choose, and the cities you look up, are never transmitted to us or to anyone else — they live only in the page you have open and are gone when you close it.

What our host can see

Like every website, CityFunIndex is delivered by a hosting provider, and that provider records standard technical request logs — such as IP address, browser type and the time of each request — for security and reliability. That data is handled by the host under its own terms and is not used by CityFunIndex to build a profile of you.

Cookies and analytics

CityFunIndex sets no advertising or tracking cookies — in fact, it sets no cookies at all. To understand which pages are useful, we use Plausible, a privacy-respecting analytics tool. It is cookieless: it counts page views in aggregate without cookies, without a device fingerprint, and without collecting any personal data or tracking you across other sites. There is no profile of you to build, which is also why this site shows no cookie banner.

Plausible does not see your name, email or any identifier — it records only anonymous, aggregate counts such as how many people viewed a given city page and roughly where (country level) the traffic came from. You can read its own privacy stance at plausible.io.
